Carbost, Talisker and Portnalong, August '82

On another day of the August '82 trip, I found myself at the bus stop with three other people from the same guest house, wondering how to fill the morning after the Glen Brittle tour bus was cancelled. On a whim we decided to take the scheduled service to Portnalong and back. It turned out to be a worthwhile trip.

Drynoch, at the head of Loch Harport, a sea loch on Skye's west coast.
The Talisker distillery, where the bus stopped for some forty minutes to allow us a tour of the facilities.
The locality of Fiscavaig, at the end of the motor road along Loch Harport.
The bay at Fiscavaig.
Fiscavaig.
Portnalong
Another view of Portnalong
Isolated hills and hummocks south of Loch Harport.
Glen Varragill, between Sligachan and Portree.
