Derwentwater, 6th May 1996

A late afternoon out from Keswick to end the 1996 Mayday holiday.

Derwentwater and Skiddaw

Shot from the woodlands fringing Friar's Crag, Skiddaw and its satellites rise above Derwentwater

Looking into the sun, southwestwards over the lake. Causey Pike is the prominent fell just left of centre.

The Jaws of Borrowdale

Castle Crag crowds into the valley at the head of Derwentwater, with Glaramara and Great End seen in sunshine a few miles further south.
