A Borrowdale debut, 30th May 1982

Whitsun weekend 1982, the occasion of my first holiday in Keswick. Later in the week I shall be joining a group for a week of guided walks, but on this Sunday morning I'm exploring the immediate environs of the town.
 
 
Crow Park

This area of grazing land lays between Keswick and Derwentwater and is owned by the National Trust. Lattrig and Blencathra are seen in the background

This is Friar's Crag, a few hundred yards south of Keswick boat landings and a quarter of an hour's walk from the town centre.
